About the role
- Senior Application/Software Architect (Level 3) preparing a bid for Government of Canada requirements. Candidates must demonstrate extensive experience in application/software architecture and data solutions.
Responsibilities
- Preparing a bid in response to a Government of Canada requirement at DND
- Seeking a qualified Application / Software Architect (Level 3) to include in our proposal
- Candidates must demonstrate their experience against specific criteria
- All referenced projects must be a minimum of six (6) months in duration
- Submit detailed project information for each referenced experience
Requirements
- Minimum ten (10) years of experience performing the duties of an Application / Software Architect (equivalent to TBIPS Stream 1, Level 3)
- A degree in Computer Science / Computer Programming or Software Engineering / Systems Engineering
- Minimum eight (8) years of experience architecting advanced data analytics solutions on cloud platforms
- Minimum five (5) years of experience leading enterprise-grade data implementation projects
- Demonstrated experience across at least three (3) projects
- One of the following certifications is required: Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Demonstrated experience designing, building, and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines
- Demonstrated experience integrating diverse data sources and performing data transformations
- Demonstrated experience utilizing big data processing tools, including Apache Spark, Databricks, Azure Synapse, and Azure Data Lake
- Demonstrated experience utilizing Microsoft DevOps tools for automating workflows for CI/CD
