Responsibilities
Drive continuous improvement of HSE performance by implementing corporate management systems and improvement initiatives.
Conduct and support comprehensive ergonomic assessments of workstations.
Partner with engineering, production, and maintenance to design and improve workstations integrating ergonomic and safety principles.
Coach managers and supervisors on their HSE responsibilities while promoting ergonomic best practices.
Facilitate risk assessments, monitor action plans, and ensure implementation of corrective actions.
Lead incident investigations and conduct Root Cause Analyses incorporating human factors into recommendations.
Plan and lead continuous improvement projects while monitoring key performance indicators.
Support daily administrative documentation to ensure accurate HSE KPI tracking and reporting.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
Expertise in ergonomics is considered a strong asset.
Relevant experience in occupational health and safety within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong knowledge of applicable occupational health and safety legislation and regulations.
Excellent knowledge of Root Cause Analysis methodologies (RCA, 5 Whys, Ishikawa/Fishbone).
Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues and develop practical, sustainable, and measurable solutions.
Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a unionized environment.
Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
Excellent communication, technical presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and analytical software (e.g., advanced Excel, ergonomic assessment tools, HSE management software).
