Therapeutic Specialist selling AbbVie’s urology medicines to Ontario healthcare providers. Managing territory plans, customer relationships, sales performance, and cross-functional execution.
Responsibilities
Call on Urologists, Radiation Oncologists, and Medical Oncologists treating prostate cancer, as well as Urologists treating overactive bladder and neurogenic detrusor overactivity
Develop robust business/account plans and execute brand strategy and tactics in the field
Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives
Build strong customer relationships and support customer needs to maximize short- and long-term sales performance
Work in a cross-functional matrix team with medical, market access, and AbbVie Care teams
Create pre-call plans and execute post-call evaluations to improve sales performance
Handle objections and concerns during face-to-face and virtual sales calls
Support key stakeholders' needs, expectations, and challenges to build trusted relationships
Execute call plans, optimize key-customer coverage, and maximize sales opportunities
Build understanding of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, and clinical expertise
Share market intelligence with the district manager and team members to align and optimize brand strategy
Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with healthcare providers
Identify, develop, and maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates
Develop and maximize integrated account plans with in-field team members
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Science, Commerce or equivalent
Minimum of three to five years in a Specialty Sales role within the pharmaceutical industry
Urology experience is an asset
Established relationships with existing HCP targets are an asset
Physician/account-based selling, CHE / OLA / training, managed health care, or marketing experience preferred
Proven track record in sales and solid presentation skills, both face-to-face and virtually
Experience with iCertis, CTE/Concur, or Veeva is an asset
Strong ability to identify customer style/behavior and adapt the selling approach
In-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge
Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools
Strategic and critical thinking capabilities
Ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment
Ability to offer innovative ideas and solutions and respond to changes or challenges

Ability to work evenings/weekends from time to time, including overnight travel
Expected travel within territory is 50%
Valid driver’s license and passport
