About the role

Test Specialist Engineer for building management systems at Acuity Inc. Involved in product testing and validation processes for technical changes and performance compliance.

Responsibilities

Analyze, prepare, and perform product tests following maintenance and/or improvement projects.
Analyze technical documentation and product functional specifications.
Define test plans: scenarios, test protocols, and appropriate measurement methodologies.
Execute verification and validation tests to ensure product compliance.
Collaborate with R&D, Hardware Design Life Cycle, production, and quality teams to define and execute required tests.
Identify opportunities to improve test benches and associated procedures.
Organize the transfer of test benches developed in R&D to the Product Life Cycle group.

Master’s degree (BAC+5) or equivalent in electronics, automation, or a related field.
5 to 10 years of experience in an equivalent position.
Knowledge of test systems and measurement tools, as well as testing techniques (test benches, automation, instrumentation).
Familiarity with communication protocols such as LonWorks and BACnet, and their application in building control systems.
Proficiency with IT tools and software used for test management (test benches, reporting and analysis software).
Bilingual in French and English to support our clients and suppliers across Canada and the United States.
