Product Data Manager responsible for data governance and consistency in product data lifecycle at Acuity Brands. Enforcing data standards while collaborating with engineering and operations teams to ensure data integrity.
Responsibilities
The Product Data Manager is responsible for ensuring that product data, from design to end of life, is consistent, reliable, secure, and accessible.
Focus on defining and deploying robust data governance processes to ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance.
Accountable for the quality and consistency of items and product data across internal systems, such as ERP, CRM, PLM, and other critical operational systems.
Own product data standards and enforce data structures, naming conventions, and data quality rules across all business units.
Ensure the structure, quality, and consistency of product data throughout the product life cycle (items, bills of materials, components, pricing, etc.).
Act as the reference for product master data topics across Sustaining Engineering and Operations.
Define and maintain a robust data governance framework with all stakeholders to ensure data reliability.
Requirements
Master’s degree or DEC with a specialization in Data Analysis, Data Management, or equivalent
5 to 10 years in a similar role preferred
End-to-end understanding of BMS product manufacturing
Strong expertise in SQL query development
Office & BI tools: Microsoft Office, Excel, Power BI, Domo
Self-confidence and autonomy
Strong analytical mindset
Clear and effective communication
Bilingual French and English: To serve clients and external service providers across Canada and USA
Travel Requirements 0-25%
