Hardware Specialist designing, developing, and testing hardware components for superconducting quantum computers at Anyon Systems. Collaborating within the Quantum Control Electronics Team for next-gen electronics.
Responsibilities
Design and develop hardware components, including schematics and PCB layout.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, mechanical, manufacturing) to ensure seamless integration.
Perform hardware testing, validation, and debugging to meet performance and reliability standards.
Implement automated test procedures to standardize modules.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and test reports.
Evaluate and select appropriate components and materials for hardware designs.
Support manufacturing and production teams with hardware-related issues.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree (with 6+ years of industrial experience), MSc or PhD (with 3+ years of industrial experience) in hardware design and development.
Proficiency with tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, or similar PCB design software.
Strong knowledge of high-speed digital design, power electronics, and analog circuits.
Familiarity with embedded systems and microcontrollers.
Experience with CPUs, microprocessors, microcontrollers, and networking modules such as Ethernet, SFP+, or QSFP+.
Experience in FPGA design and high-speed interfaces including JESD204B, JESD204C, PCIe, DDR3 or DDR4, and RF systems.
Knowledge of compliance standards (EMC, safety, etc.).
Hands-on experience in hardware prototyping and use of laboratory equipment.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and experience transitioning products from engineering to production.
Strong teamworking skills, excellent organizational and communication abilities.
