About the role
- Principal Water Engineer leading water and wastewater consulting projects at Arcadis. Oversight, client relations, mentorship, and innovative strategies in engineering solutions are paramount.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and direct the successful delivery of complex projects
- Cultivate and manage key client relationships
- Identify emerging market opportunities
- Lead proposal development and presentations
- Serve as technical lead for major design, engineering, operations, and capital projects
- Develop and implement strategic project execution plans
- Coach and mentor junior and intermediate engineers
- Represent Arcadis in stakeholder consultations, regulatory reviews, and industry forums
- Champion the adoption of digital, sustainable, and advanced treatment technologies
- Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental Engineering or similar field; Masters degree preferred
- 20+ years progressive experience in water/wastewater engineering
- Professional Engineer license
- Significant consulting experience on large scale, highly complex water, wastewater, stormwater and resource recovery and wastewater projects
- Experience in collaboration delivery models
- Experience in policy review and development
