About the role
- Senior Engineer leading the planning and design of electrified rail infrastructure projects in Ontario. Ensuring compliance and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to support major transit and rail electrification programs.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and delivery of electrified rail infrastructure projects across Ontario
- Provide technical leadership and direction to the team
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards and undertake reviews of design deliverables
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project integration
- Support engineering design packages, cost estimates, schedules, and risk assessments
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Ontario (or eligibility)
- 10–15 years of experience in railway electrification and OCS design
- Proven experience on large-scale rail projects
- Strong knowledge of 25 kV AC electrification systems and OCS components
- Strong understanding of OCS design principles
- Proficiency in CAD platforms such as MicroStation and AutoCAD
- Familiarity with BIM and digital engineering practices
