About the role

  • Senior Transportation Engineer seeking to design connected communities focusing on sustainable solutions. Collaborating on traffic operations and transportation studies for land development and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and/or assist with analysis and design efforts in road safety, traffic operations, and design of traffic operations devices and facilities.
  • Prepare traffic and transportation studies associated with land development, transportation, transit, and infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare technical reports to address traffic issues, prepare presentations and prepare client communications.
  • Supervise the work of junior team members and review project documents prior to submittal for technical accuracy.
  • Assist with transportation group project management and business development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's University Degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering with registration as a Professional Engineer with PEO
  • 5-8 years of related experience including road safety, traffic operations, municipal infrastructure, and roadway design experience at increasing levels of responsibility, preferably with Ontario Municipal Road authorities
  • Proficiency with MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D
  • Proficient in the application of specialized traffic assessment software (Synchro, AutoTurn, etc.)
  • Experience includes applying and interpreting related legislation and technical documentation including the ITE Trip Generation Manual, TAC Geometric Design Guide, the Ontario Traffic Manuals, and the Ontario Highway Traffic Act
