About the role

  • Cardiometabolic Medical Science Liaison advancing Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals’ RNAi medicines. Engaging healthcare professionals, supporting trials, and communicating clinical science from Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Engage cardiologists, endocrinologists, and other healthcare professionals and stakeholders through scientific education and exchange.
  • Educate healthcare professionals on RNAi technology, hypertriglyceridemia, familial chylomicronemia syndrome, and hypercholesterolemia.
  • Synthesize and communicate clinical and scientific insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Attend and present at scientific congresses and meetings.
  • Respond to unsolicited inquiries in accordance with MSL compliance standards.
  • Support company-sponsored clinical trials through investigator site engagement.
  • Support speaker training and scientific congress activities, including opinion-leader engagement, session coverage, booth support, and debriefs.
  • Monitor and analyze scientific publications, clinical trials, and the competitive landscape in cardiometabolic therapeutics.
  • Maintain clinical, scientific, and industry business expertise.
  • Develop territory-specific opinion-leader and account plans.
  • Communicate clinical and scientific information accurately and clearly.
  • Document quantitative and qualitative accomplishments.
  • Provide scientific support for Medical Information inquiries.
  • Develop scientific content for medical education initiatives.
  • Build and manage cross-functional relationships.
  • Support Medical Affairs special projects and initiatives as needed.

Requirements

  • PhD, PharmD, MD, or DO required.
  • Five or more years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL).
  • Experience in the cardiometabolic therapeutic area.
  • Medical Affairs industry experience at a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with electronic CRM systems.
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Current, valid authorization to work in the country where the role is located.
