About the role
- Medical Science Liaison launching Novartis’s immunology therapy across Canada. Building healthcare-professional partnerships and shaping evidence-based medical strategy in Dermatology and Allergy.
Responsibilities
- Create a network of peer-to-peer scientific relationships and develop a network of healthcare professionals for partnership
- Provide and discuss scientific information and data to ensure concepts are understood and gather insights to inform Novartis research and strategic direction
- Develop and execute engagement plans, prioritizing and strategically engaging medical experts aligned with business priorities
- Liaise with relevant external groups and provide up-to-date medical information regarding Novartis products, medical guidelines, and health economic information
- Work entrepreneurially within a cross-functional team in a matrix environment
- Interface with and provide value across internal and external stakeholders
- Travel throughout the territory up to 70%
Requirements
- MD, PharmD, PhD or other life sciences degree with solid medical/technical background and proven competencies influencing skills, clinical research insight, business and market knowledge
- Scientific expertise in Dermatology/Allergy is highly desired
- Proven ability to develop and foster peer-to-peer, credible relationships with Medical Experts/decision makers
- Ability to synthesize complex scientific information and analyze it within strategic and regulatory settings with a strong personal integrity and customer focus
- Familiarity with reimbursement processes in Canada
- Valid driver's license required
- Ability to travel throughout the territory up to 70%
- Previous experience in the Pharmaceutical industry
- Previous experience as an MSL (3 years minimum)
- Derm and Allergy scientific and customers knowledge
