- Electrical Engineer reviewing technical questions and supporting construction projects at AtkinsRéalis. Overseeing compliance with electrical codes and managing project changes.
Responsibilities
- Review and respond to technical queries
- Review and approve inspection and test plans for major equipment
- Participate in support for acceptance testing
- Identify impacts of temporary construction requirements
- Prepare change orders
- Provide technical support
- Monitor and track contractor queries
- Liaise between site needs and the design engineering team
- Support the construction team
- Recommend acceptance of completed works
- Review drawings and specifications prior to execution of the works
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in hydroelectric and industrial sectors
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience on a medium- or large-scale construction site
- Knowledge of North American codes and standards such as CSA, IEEE and ANSI
- Member of, or eligible for membership/registration with, the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- Functional knowledge of English (an asset)
