About the role
- Transmission Line Lead Engineer overseeing planning and execution of transmission line projects for AtkinsRéalis. Guiding teams, ensuring technical excellence, and mentoring staff.
Responsibilities
- Lead and review conceptual and detailed transmission line designs
- Analyze project scope and technical studies
- Prepare key engineering deliverables such as Scopes of Work and reports
- Select materials and develop specifications for procurement
- Coordinate multidisciplinary design activities and provide site support
- Supervise and mentor engineers and technicians
Requirements
- A degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil/Structural Engineering from a recognized institution
- P.Eng. registration or Equivalent required
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in Transmission and Distribution lines design
- Knowledge of PLS CADD, PLS TOWER and PLS POLE software essential
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken), French as a second language will be an asset
