About the role

  • Autodesk Chief of Staff guiding strategy, portfolio investments, and operations for AutoCAD, Revit, and infrastructure software. Advising ABI leadership and leading transformational initiatives across global teams.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the VP and ABI Leadership Team to shape multi-year strategy, annual priorities, and portfolio investment decisions
  • Frame complex problems, develop fact-based options, challenge assumptions, and recommend courses of action
  • Integrate customer, market, product, financial, people, and operational insights into leadership recommendations
  • Strengthen the effectiveness, cohesion, and trust of the ABI Leadership Team
  • Identify organizational barriers and recommend interventions
  • Support organizational and operating-model changes, objectives, performance metrics, and key results
  • Run quarterly offsites, monthly strategic meetings, weekly tactical meetings, and other leadership meetings
  • Translate strategy and decisions into clear organizational communications
  • Prepare and support the VP in executive reviews, employee engagements, customer meetings, industry events, and other high-impact forums
  • Author communications for the ABI VP, including announcements, presentations, and blogs
  • Represent ABI in cross-company efforts and stand in for the VP when appropriate
  • Own selected strategic initiatives as lead program and project manager across ABI product groups, functions, or Autodesk organizations
  • Maintain portfolio visibility into progress, risks, dependencies, and capacity constraints; drive escalation and resolution
  • Document decision rationales, alternatives, trade-offs, stopped or deferred work, accountable owners, and expected outcomes
  • Identify opportunities to reuse platforms, capabilities, and operating practices and reduce duplication
  • Use AI capabilities and models to improve operational efficiency and automate regular processes
  • Lead, develop, and prioritize the ABI business operations and program management team
  • Provide coaching and career development support to direct reports

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Architecture, or related field; or related experience
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • 10 years of experience within the software development industry, preferably in product management or development organizations
  • Experience in architecture, engineering, and construction preferred
  • Demonstrated success leading large, complex, transformational programs
  • Ability to define problem statements, assess options, recommend solutions, solicit perspectives, and drive decisions
  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfort negotiating with stakeholders
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to convey complex concepts concisely across executive leadership, peers, managers, junior staff, customers, and partners
  • Skills to guide objectives at meetings, strategic planning sessions, and quarterly business reviews
  • Experience creating operating systems, decision processes, portfolio reviews, objective-setting, performance management, and executive forums
  • Ability to gather, analyze, visualize, and structure fact-based recommendations
  • Understanding of how companies use AI to improve operational efficiency
  • Good understanding of context engineering for automating repetitive processes
  • Approximately 25% travel expected
  • Ability to work with geographically distributed global teams
