About the role
- Senior Software Architect responsible for end-to-end architecture at Autodesk. Leading scalable analytics and System State Reporting to deliver product-usage insights and operational signals.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end architecture for FIC analytics + System State Reporting (SSR)
- Define a scalable approach for standardizing analytics event reporting across clients and services
- Drive design reviews, decision logs, and technical roadmaps; communicate tradeoffs and align stakeholders
- Establish governance for analytics quality: validation strategy, fail-fast patterns, and measurable quality SLAs
- Define observability requirements for analytics pipelines and integration points with dashboards and BI tools
- Partner with global engineering teams to ensure clear ownership boundaries and predictable delivery
- Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar through coaching, design feedback, and reference implementations
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with 3+ years in a system architecture / technical leadership role
- Strong experience designing distributed systems or data pipelines end-to-end
- Proven ability to write and review production code (one or more of: C++, Java, Python, TypeScript)
- Experience defining and evolving schemas/contracts with backward compatibility and migration plans
- Experience with telemetry/analytics event pipelines and “data quality by design” practices
- Familiarity with ETL/ELT tooling and patterns (batch pipelines, CDC, connectors, transformations)
