Responsibilities
Act as the primary interface between Project Teams and the Commissioning Group
Provide subject matter expertise in Commissioning to advise and guide Project personnel
Collaborate closely with the Commissioning Team to sequence and coordinate commissioning activities
Ensure all commissioning activities are properly sequenced in accordance with the Project Schedule
Proactively identify and communicate project risks, conflicts, and opportunities
Provide regular updates on commissioning progress and performance against schedule milestones
Maintain detailed working knowledge of the project schedule
Attend key Project meetings as the designated representative of the Commissioning Team
Collaborate with scheduling and planning teams on logical progression within the master schedule
Identify risks and opportunities
Other duties as required.
Requirements
Strong background in Commissioning, Engineering, or Project Integration roles
Degree or diploma in engineering or engineering technology discipline, or equivalent experience
Registration as an Applied Science Technologist (AScT), Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T), or Professional Engineer (PEng)
10+ years of related technical experience
Proven ability to work across departments and manage competing priorities
Experience interpreting and contributing to complex project schedules
Familiarity with submarine or naval refit programs
Knowledge of various mechanical or weapon system-related technologies
Experience with mechanical systems operation, testing, or commissioning
Communication skills; ability to represent Commissioning interests in multidisciplinary forums
Strong computer skills including MS Office suite
Eligible for Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance.
