Responsibilities
Oversee and lead multidisciplinary teams; manage scopes, schedules, and budgets.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff as part of project execution.
Lead and provide technical oversight for complex geoenvironmental engineering projects.
Apply deep expertise in tailings management, sediment transport, and solid-water interactions.
Design and execute field investigation programs and develop technically sound analyses and designs.
Support and contribute to business development efforts by identifying new opportunities.
Evaluate site conditions, large and varied data sets, and evolving regulatory and stakeholder requirements.
Develop high-quality technical deliverables and clear, concise reports.
Build and sustain strong relationships with clients, regulatory personnel, and internal teams.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in mining, geological, geotechnical, environmental, civil engineering, or a related discipline.
10 or more years of relevant experience.
Professionally certified (P.Eng.) in Alberta or the ability to be certified within one year.
Strong computer skills, including word processing and use of spreadsheets.
Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite.
Possession of a current, valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without the need for sponsorship from Barr Ltd., now or in the future.
