About the role

Financial Reporting & Systems Analyst supporting financial operations. Overseeing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and reporting standards for the BC Energy Regulator.

Responsibilities

Supports core financial operations, including month-end and year-end close, payment review, capital asset accounting, and preparation of accurate financial reporting.
Oversees system administration, financial system structures, and data integrity to maintain strong internal controls.
Collaborates with internal teams in support of the annual audit and drives continuous improvement in financial processes.

A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting, and a minimum of two years of related experience.
Demonstrated experience applying PSAS, with the ability to interpret and apply standards to support sound financial analysis and decision-making.
Demonstrated experience supporting core financial processes, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, financial analysis, and month-end and quarter-end close.
Demonstrated experience working with enterprise financial systems, including system administration, user access, master data management, and system configuration.
Demonstrated experience providing clear guidance and professional support to staff and stakeholders, including reviewing work, offering feedback, and explaining financial processes and system requirements.
Demonstrated experience applying intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including use of PivotTables and lookup functions.
