About the role

  • Accounting co-op student supporting assurance and financial reporting engagements at BDO, a Canadian accounting firm. Preparing working papers, compiling financial information, and serving clients.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize technical knowledge from courses to carry out work projects and assignments
  • Prepare and complete working papers, financial information, and compilation engagements according to regulatory standards
  • Gather evidence for Assurance and Accounting engagements
  • Build positive working relationships with clients and respond effectively to requests and suggestions
  • Communicate with team members about progress updates and issues
  • Understand clients’ industries, challenges, and opportunities
  • Identify and recommend effective service delivery approaches
  • Participate in adoption of digital tools and strategies
  • Develop expertise through learning and professional development

  • Currently working toward a degree focused in accounting
