Senior Platform Engineer building enterprise Terraform and Azure self-service platforms for BDO Digital. Designing governed, secure cloud capabilities consumed by hundreds of client applications.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain enterprise cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines using Terraform and GitHub Actions
Build reusable, self-service platform capabilities for hundreds of applications and multiple engineering teams
Own the full lifecycle of cloud services, including observability, security vulnerability management, and RBAC
Participate in requirements gathering and enterprise architecture discussions with client stakeholders
Maintain documentation, planning artifacts, and detailed ticket updates for client visibility
Operate within enterprise governance, security, and change-management frameworks
Help shape and scale cloud capabilities across the organization
Demonstrate BDO’s core values and deliver high-quality client service
Participate in adoption of digital tools and strategies
Grow expertise through learning and professional development
Requirements
True enterprise-scale delivery experience with shared, self-service platforms consumed by many independent application teams
Enterprise governance and landing-zone experience, including multi-subscription/multi-account structuring, policy-as-code, and tagging/naming standards
Azure AD/Entra ID, RBAC, least-privilege design, and service principal/managed identity governance
Enterprise network architecture experience with hub-spoke topology, VNet peering, private endpoints, and network segmentation
Security posture and compliance experience for regulated industries, including vulnerability management, threat modeling, audit readiness, and vendor change-control standards
Observability at scale using Azure Monitor/Log Analytics or equivalent, with SLA/SLO expectations
Cost governance / FinOps awareness
Experience with formal change-management/ITSM processes, CAB approvals, and detailed ticketing
Resilience and disaster-recovery planning for high availability
Architecture-level thinking for platform-level engagements
Full SDLC fluency, requirements gathering, and enterprise architecture discussions
Strong written communication, detailed documentation, Excel planning, and thorough ticket updates
Ability to explain technical approach and reasoning in depth
Kubernetes/containerization expertise or working knowledge
Formal cloud platform experience with Azure, GCP, or AWS
