About the role

  • Senior Technical Product Owner managing end-to-end product delivery for Bellwood's web and mobile products. Leading client engagement and enhancing internal systems for operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end product delivery for client engagements, from discovery through release
  • Lead discovery workshops to clarify goals, requirements, risks, and success metrics
  • Translate business needs into roadmaps, epics, user stories, and actionable backlogs
  • Define priorities and make tradeoff decisions based on value, risk, and timeline
  • Serve as the primary client-facing product lead, providing updates, demos, and recommendations
  • Establish and maintain a clear communication cadence with clients and internal teams
  • Create and manage all user stories in Jira, ensuring acceptance criteria are clear and development-ready
  • Proactively manage and refine the backlog to align with evolving priorities
  • Facilitate scrum ceremonies including refinement, planning, stand-ups, kickoffs, and retrospectives
  • Monitor team velocity and capacity to plan realistic, predictable sprints
  • Partner closely with engineering, design, and QA to ensure high-quality delivery
  • Validate features in staging environments and coordinate deployments with stakeholders
  • Identify risks and blockers early and drive resolution
  • Support pre-sales and discovery conversations with prospective clients as needed
  • Own, maintain, and continuously enhance Bellwood’s core delivery and operations platforms, driving process efficiency, system reliability, and operational excellence between client engagements.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in product ownership, technical product management, or delivery leadership
  • Has led complex software projects from discovery through launch
  • Comfortable making decisions and owning outcomes, not just gathering requirements
  • Thrives in ambiguous environments and brings structure and clarity to chaos
  • Communicates confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Understands software architecture and technical tradeoffs well enough to partner deeply with engineers
  • Strong experience with Jira and modern delivery tooling
  • Enjoys improving systems and processes, not just running them
  • Equally comfortable leading a client workshop and refining a backlog
