About the role
- Senior Platform Systems Engineer responsible for designing and developing foundational systems across Kubernetes and AWS infrastructure at Bettermode. Focused on security, compliance, and platform efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and remediate foundational platform problems
- Own Kubernetes platform patterns and Terraform workflows
- Design AZ-aware improvements for Aurora PostgreSQL
- Build cost and workload observability across AWS and Kubernetes
- Build production-grade platform components in Go, Rust, or TypeScript
- Implement platform security and compliance controls
- Support OLAP analytics infrastructure and migrations
Requirements
- Deep production experience with Kubernetes/EKS, Terraform/OpenTofu, AWS, and Cloudflare
- Strong software engineering fundamentals building backend, infrastructure, or distributed systems
- Professional experience with Go or Rust; TypeScript is valuable
- Solid understanding of Linux, TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTP/2, gRPC
- Strong understanding of security and compliance-oriented platform engineering
- Practical experience designing or operating DR capabilities
- Practical familiarity with OLAP/data infrastructure such as Aurora PostgreSQL, MongoDB Atlas, etc.
