About the role
- CAD Technician preparing Civil 3D drawings for municipal infrastructure projects. Collaborating with a team of professionals to meet Binnie’s high-quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Preparing Civil 3D drawings for municipal infrastructure including set-up, surfaces, alignments, profiles, sections, corridors and pipe networks
- Performing and documenting quality control checks on CAD drafting work in accordance with Binnie’s Quality Management Program
- Adhering to various municipal CAD standards as well as Binnie’s internal CAD standards
- Assisting more senior CAD Technicians or designers with drafting and revisions
Requirements
- 0 - 3 years related work experience in a civil consulting engineering environment
- Completed College Certificate in CAD or a related subject
- Previous hands-on experience working with AutoCAD Civil 3D for civil infrastructure assignments preferred
- A strong Interest working with software programming preferred
- Familiarity with local municipal design standards is preferred
- Strong time management skills and ability to work cooperatively in a team
- Excellent attention to detail to consistently produce accurate, high-quality work
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
