Civil Technologist role in Ports & Industrial Division undergoing design and CAD production. Engaging in hands-on project work and collaboration in a team-focused environment.
Responsibilities
Preparing AutoCAD and Civil3D designs and drawings and completing design calculations
Performing and documenting quality control checks on CAD drafting and Civil 3D work in accordance with Binnie’s Quality Management Program
Preparing documentation for design folders and reports
Calculating design quantities for materials and preparation of cost estimates
Assisting in the preparation of project specifications and contract documents
Performing on-site inspection duties
Requirements
0-1+ years of experience working with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other applicable software
Completed Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field and/or discipline
Eligible to register as a Trainee Registrant with ASTTBC or as a Technician/Technologist-in Training (T.T.) with ASET (must be done within first three months of employment)
Previous hands-on experience working with Civil 3D
Valid Driver’s License and own vehicle for site visits preferred
Excellent organization and time management skills
Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors, and clients.
