About the role
- Mechanical & Cooling Commissioning Lead responsible for commissioning data centre systems. Leading tests and validations for mechanical and cooling systems in high density AI deployments.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for commissioning mechanical and cooling systems serving the data centre
- Plan and execute L2/L3 mechanical tests
- Mock-run L4 functional performance tests
- Validate mechanical modules and skids fabricated in the shop
- Coordinate with Controls/BMS Lead to ensure mechanical sequences of operation
- Contribute to L5 scenario execution involving cooling
- Document tests, issues, and resolutions consistently
- Provide mechanical commissioning input to operations teams to support handover
Requirements
- 7+ years in mechanical commissioning, TAB/FPT, or operations for data centres or similar mission‑critical facilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with ASHRAE commissioning guidance and large‑operator mechanical Cx requirements.
- Experience with Cx platforms and data tools (CxAlloy, Procore, Facility Grid).
- Relevant certifications (PE, CxA, BCxP, TAB/NEBB, etc.) are an asset.
