Responsibilities
Overseeing and administering the Bird Safety Program.
Monitoring safety compliance on the assigned project(s).
Conducting site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
Developing and delivering safety training and toolbox talks.
Ensuring compliance with safety policies and procedures.
Participating in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
Maintaining accurate safety records and documentation.
Promoting a positive safety culture by engaging with workers and supervisors.
Requirements

Provide administrative support to the HSE team as needed.
Benefits
Certificate, diploma, or degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field (or working toward completion).
Minimum 5 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably in construction or a related industry.
Knowledge of Ontario health and safety legislation (e.g., OHSA).
Knowledge of conducting safety inspections against regulations and internal procedures.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of formwork, carpentry, electrical, and other trades.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various sites within the GTA.
Working towards or possessing safety certifications (e.g., CRSP, CRST, CHSO, NCSO).
