About the role
- Senior Analyst in Business Intelligence supporting client development at Canada's law firm. Leading complex research while integrating advanced data technology and providing strategic insights.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of complex, tailored research assignments on current and prospective clients, competitors, industry sectors, and markets
- Synthesize findings from multiple data sources to produce deliverables ready to be presented to lawyers
- Proactively monitor key clients, sectors, and market trends
- Serve as a trusted advisor to lawyers and Business Services professionals
- Leverage a wide range of commercial research platforms and legal databases
- Develop data visualizations and dashboards
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Economics, Information Science/Library Science, or a related analytical field
- Minimum 6 years of analytical experience within a professional services firm, law firm, financial services, or consulting environment
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint
- Working knowledge of commercial research databases
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to independently manage multiple competing high-priority assignments
- Strong analytical rigor and critical thinking
- Understanding of business development processes and professional services environments
- In-depth mastery of legal research databases
- French-English bilingualism is an asset
