Seeking a Vue.js front - end developer for a 6 - month contract at a bank, working hybrid in Toronto to develop and test complex web applications.
About the role
- Frontend Developer designing intuitive, responsive user interfaces for Wealth & Asset Management platforms. Collaborating with backend teams to deliver high-quality digital experiences in a hybrid setting.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain front end applications using React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript
- Develop responsive, accessible UI components using HTML, CSS, and frameworks such as Bootstrap or Tailwind
- Integrate frontend solutions with APIs, applying strong data structures and algorithmic thinking
- Collaborate within Agile/Scrum teams alongside Product, QA, UAT, and backend development partners
- Contribute to testing, quality, and performance using tools such as Vitest and modern build pipelines
Requirements
- Professional experience with React, TypeScript, and JavaScript in production environments
- Strong understanding of responsive design principles and frontend architecture
- Experience working with APIs, SQL fundamentals, and Unix/Linux environments
- Familiarity with frontend tooling and IDEs such as Visual Studio Code or IntelliJ IDEA
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach to cross-functional teamwork
