About the role

  • Front End Software Engineer building responsive, data-intensive interfaces for CENSUS LABS’ cybersecurity and AI platforms. Translating designs into performant dashboards, visualizations, and interactive workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Translate design specifications and prototypes, such as Figma designs, into pixel-accurate, responsive web interfaces
  • Build reusable, well-structured components and maintain a consistent design system
  • Implement data-dense views including inventories, detail pages, and interactive dashboards
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility, responsiveness, and accessibility
  • Build interactive tables, filters, and visualizations for large structured and semi-structured datasets
  • Integrate charting and visualization libraries such as ECharts, D3, or Recharts
  • Apply virtualization, pagination, and lazy loading to optimize data-heavy views
  • Contribute to conversational and natural-language query interfaces for AI-assisted features
  • Integrate frontend applications with REST/GraphQL backends and streaming endpoints
  • Design state-management, data-fetching, caching, and synchronization strategies
  • Handle loading, error, and empty states
  • Optimize rendering performance, bundle size, and load times
  • Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
  • Participate in code reviews and maintain well-documented frontend code
  • Collaborate with designers, product teams, backend engineers, and data engineers
  • Contribute to proofs of concept, demos, and integration pilots
  • Support knowledge transfer with internal and partner teams

Requirements

  • BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 4+ years of experience in frontend or full-stack development, with a strong focus on the frontend
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, and modern HTML5 and CSS3
  • Hands-on experience with a modern component-based framework (React preferred; Vue or Angular also considered)
  • Proven experience translating design mockups and prototypes into production-quality interfaces
  • Solid understanding of responsive design, cross-browser behavior, and web accessibility
  • Experience integrating with REST or GraphQL APIs and managing application state
  • Familiarity with modern frontend build tooling and version control with Git
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills
  • Proficient in English
  • Experience building data-dense interfaces, operational dashboards, or analytics tooling
  • Familiarity with data visualization libraries (D3, ECharts, Recharts) and large-table performance techniques
  • Experience with design systems and component libraries (e.g., Storybook)
  • Exposure to BI/analytics platforms such as Superset
  • Experience building chat or conversational UIs for AI/LLM-powered features
  • Knowledge of security concepts or experience working on cybersecurity products
  • Familiarity with containerization (Kubernetes) and CI/CD workflows
  • Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Playwright, Cypress) and frontend observability
