About the role
- Bilingual Virtual Claims Helper supporting Indigenous communities with claims process for First Nations Child and Family Services settlements. Collaborating virtually to provide trauma-informed assistance.
Responsibilities
- Support Class Members virtually with information, resources, and assistance for the claim form
- Assist claimants in completing claim forms
- Participate in training sessions, including online courses and debriefings
- Carry out work safely by following established health and safety protocols
- Contribute to a positive safety culture by raising safety concerns and sharing knowledge
Requirements
- Bilingualism in French and English required
- 3 years or more of experience working with Indigenous peoples and communities
- Identification as Indigenous is an asset
- Knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) systems
- Familiarity with Microsoft tools and other database platforms
- Good knowledge of Indigenous culture and history
- Clear, respectful, and professional communication skills
- Ability to work professionally in an Indigenous language is an asset
- Access to a quiet, private workspace with a reliable internet connection
