Responsibilities
Report to the Director or Senior Manager & Team Lead, Business Banking
Provide new and existing clients with an exceptional client experience
Help business clients meet immediate and long-term business goals by understanding needs and identifying relationship-deepening opportunities
Meet clients’ financial and credit needs through comprehensive business banking offers or formal introductions to appropriate banking colleagues
Collaborate frequently with experts across CIBC to address client needs through the appropriate segment
Proactively manage and grow a portfolio of business-only connections
Build relationships with Centres of Influence to generate referrals through in-person and digital channels
Identify opportunities to develop full client relationships and provide deposit and credit solutions
Participate in community and banking centre events to build CIBC presence and gain market share
Develop and manage a sales pipeline of diverse business banking opportunities
Engage portfolio, partner-referred, and prospective clients to understand immediate needs and longer-term goals
Deliver trusted advice and financial solutions and cultivate a network to establish new client relationships
Promote digital banking options and CIBC Cash Management products
Support client acquisition through referrals and internal partner relationships
Attend local events and participate in marketing and outreach activities to increase brand awareness and generate small business opportunities
Requirements
2+ years’ experience in Business Banking or Commercial Banking
Strong knowledge of credit
Knowledge of cash management products and services
Knowledge of business cash flow and financial analysis
Established network in the local business community
Completed undergraduate degree/diploma in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Fluent in French and English
Legally eligible to work at the specified location; valid work or study permit where applicable
May be required to complete an attribute-based assessment and other skills tests, such as simulation, coding, or French proficiency
