About the role

  • Energy Engineer III supporting energy savings and emissions reduction initiatives through advanced engineering analysis and modeling. Leading energy audits for commercial and institutional facilities across Saskatchewan.

Responsibilities

  • Support energy savings and emissions reduction initiatives through advanced engineering analysis, energy modeling, and Measurement & Verification (M&V) activities.
  • Lead energy audits across commercial, and institutional facilities.
  • Contribute to demand‑side management (DSM) programs for utility clients.
  • Independently perform energy audits and assessments across diverse building types.
  • Lead engineering studies for energy‑saving initiatives and deliver technical reports.
  • Calculate energy savings using standard engineering principles (including physics, mechanics, fan laws, and thermodynamics).
  • Analyze logged and sub‑metered energy consumption data.
  • Develop Measurement & Verification (M&V) plans and reports.
  • Conduct QA/QC reviews of engineering deliverables.
  • Lead client engagements and clearly communicate technical findings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation.
  • 4+ years of experience in energy management or a related field.
  • Proven experience conducting energy audits in commercial facilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Willingness and ability to travel for customer site visits (approximately 50%).
  • Measurement & Verification certification (CMVP or equivalent) preferred.
  • Experience in working with utility-driven energy conservation programs preferred.
  • Familiarity with energy data logging and sub-metering preferred.
