Teaching Assistant supporting approximately 25-30 Learners in aerospace technician training. Facilitating online sessions and ensuring learner engagement while providing hands-on support.
Responsibilities
Monitor appropriate Slack channels (#c1-TA, #live-chat, #extra-help, and other relevant channels) for Learner questions and answer them promptly
Facilitate breakout rooms during lecture time, when applicable
Assist in keeping the session progressing should the Lead Instructor experience technical difficulty or is otherwise unable to deliver the lecture
Review content materials (including lab, projects, extended cases, etc.) for the next lecture to ensure you are prepared to answer Learner questions
Hold up to six (6) Individual Office Hours via Zoom with Learners in the program so they can ask any additional questions or get support as necessary
Grade Learner submissions of exercises and projects within seven (7) days of submission
Support continuous program improvement by providing thoughtful feedback to Correlation One team via Weekly Write Ups
Requirements
2+ years of experience with aerospace, manufacturing, mechanical, or technical operations environments
Foundational knowledge of technician-level skills aligned to aerospace roles, including blueprint reading, precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers), and hands-on exposure to structures, assembly & integration, or composites (e.g., drilling/fastening, basic assembly, or composite materials handling)
Working knowledge of safety and quality standards common in aerospace or manufacturing environments (e.g., 5S, OSHA, FOD awareness)
Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly
Experience supporting adult learners, tutoring, mentoring, or teaching (required)
Comfortable using virtual collaboration tools (Zoom, Slack, Microsoft Office)
Ability to manage multiple Learners and provide timely, high-quality support
