Responsibilities
Quickly and thoroughly learn new software through training and self-guided exploration of those applications and existing documentation.
Analyze requirements provided by the product management team or the extended claims team.
Develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
Document the technical specifications of proposed solutions and clearly communicate them to development and QA teams.
Exercise meticulous attention to detail when drafting technical specifications.
Ensure that new features and enhancements integrate seamlessly with existing products and technologies.
Consult with development, QA and product management teams to convey the customer perspective.
Present the latest features internally during end-of-sprint demos.
Contribute to the evolution of processes and the knowledge base for the operational systems analyst team.
Requirements
At least 3–5 years of experience as an operational systems analyst or functional analyst, or in a similar role such as product manager, UX/UI strategist, product analyst, product owner, business analyst, or systems integration specialist.
Experience contributing to the design of a complex software product used by a large number of people and that has been extended with multiple features over time.
Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc. or BBA) or a combination of education, training and equivalent experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience working in an Agile environment.
A healthy mix of technical knowledge and business sense.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
Experience with UI mockup and prototyping tools (Balsamiq, Figma), or a strong interest in acquiring and expanding this skill set.
Experience designing or consuming APIs, or a strong interest in developing this skill set.
Experience using JIRA, Aha! or another issue/requirements management tool.
Enthusiasm, integrity, reliability, adaptability and respect for diversity.
Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain a big-picture view.
Curiosity about customer needs and the improvements or adjustments that could address them.
Basic knowledge of MS Office.
Because the large majority of our clients, both internal and external, are located outside Quebec and Canada, specific language requirements may apply. Professional proficiency in both French and English is required.
French proficiency is not required for candidates based in Toronto.
