About the role

  • Forward Deployment Product Manager bridging engineering and oil-and-gas operations at CruxOCM. Delivering industrial automation integrations for customer control rooms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, story pointing, sprint reviews, and team retrospectives using Agile best practices.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects, develop project plans and milestones, align timelines with customers, optimize resource allocation, and identify critical paths.
  • Leverage AI tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, and LLMs daily to accelerate project management tasks.
  • Identify and resolve technical or procedural dependencies and blockers.
  • Identify internal productivity improvements through tooling, standardized processes, playbooks, documentation, automated tests, deployment scripts, and productized custom development.
  • Ensure deliverables meet safety and reliability standards for heavy industry environments.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact, manage expectations, and provide transparent progress updates.
  • Build trust-based relationships with client-side technical leads and plant managers.
  • Align Deployment, Support, Sales, Finance, Product, and Engineering teams on customer requirements, delivery, and product roadmap.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Engineering, Data Science, or related fields.
  • 3+ years of combined experience in engineering, product development, or technical program/project management.
  • Ability to discuss design tradeoffs, system architecture, and debugging with engineers.
  • Demonstrated daily experience using AI coding assistants, generative tools, and automated workflows to increase personal and engineering output.
  • Domain knowledge in oil and gas, hydraulic theory, fluid dynamics, or advanced control is desirable.
