About the role

  • Scrum Master guiding Agile project delivery for Desjardins in Montréal. Facilitating Scrum teams, managing backlogs, removing impediments, and coaching stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out cross-sector projects to meet objectives on time and on budget
  • Help the Scrum team implement and use the Agile approach on a daily basis for major projects
  • Act as a custodian of respect for Agile values and principles
  • Promote stakeholder engagement to deliver projects as planned and foster team self-organization
  • Remove or handle barriers to protect the squad from disruptive external elements
  • Advise and coach clients and partners on key intervention and development mandates in an Agile delivery context
  • Develop recommendations, solutions and action plans aligned with organizational orientations and objectives
  • Help the team solve complex business problems requiring analysis and in-depth understanding
  • Coordinate with stakeholders across complementary fields of expertise
  • Assemble and assist the Scrum team and facilitate meetings
  • Ensure team members understand and fulfill their respective roles
  • Ensure the Scrum team is functional, productive and well organized
  • Ensure efficient use of Agile approaches and tools and compliance with Agile values
  • Establish and monitor performance indicators
  • Ensure transparency on work progress and follow up on team-raised problems
  • Ensure sprint backlog tasks align with product backlog commitments
  • Help the product owner maximize return on investment, meet objectives and manage the product backlog
  • Handle quality control for the product backlog and Scrum meetings, including sprint planning, backlog maintenance and estimation, and sprint reviews

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience
  • Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Scrum Master Certification (PSM or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of French is required
