About the role

  • Senior Data Scientist transforming data into value-added information for decision-making within Desjardins Group. Leading initiatives to leverage data for business goals across large-scale projects and sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Help transform data into value-added information to facilitate decision-making within the organization
  • Provide leadership in terms of identifying, prioritizing and creating opportunities to leverage data within large-scale projects
  • Serve as specialist advisor to help data management teams design and develop analytical solutions that meet their needs
  • Simplify complex concepts and translate models for teams to understand the potential benefits the data offers
  • Identify opportunities to leverage data and evaluate its potential impact in terms of the sector’s directions and business priorities
  • Prioritize opportunities to leverage data, define solutions and develop an analytical roadmap integrated with the sector’s business plan
  • Align the delivery teams in terms of design and development of complex analytical solutions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of six years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Intermediate advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
