- French-to-English UX translator adapting digital content for Desjardins’s wealth management and insurance platforms. Collaborating with UX, product, technology, SEO, accessibility, and compliance teams.
Responsibilities
- Translate and adapt digital content for online platforms in the Wealth Management and Insurance sectors
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, particularly UX writers and specialists
- Apply UX, SEO and accessibility best practices
- Identify challenges, needs, problems, and opportunities to improve users’ experience with strategic digital content
- Conduct terminology and linguistic research in English
- Contribute to and adhere to Desjardins style guides
- Help determine methods and develop working tools with team members
- Ensure content consistency to promote the Desjardins image, brand, and mission
- Use terminology aligned with financial services and digital-field best practices
- Align translations, create bi-texts, and update translation memories as needed
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in translation or a related field
- A minimum of four years of relevant experience
- Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Experience working in an agile-based work environment
- ATIO or OTTIAQ certification
- Strong communication skills in both French and English, both oral and written
- Proficiency in specialized digital, business and cooperative terminology
- Knowledge of the principles of UX writing, SEO and accessibility
- Knowledge of professional linguistic practices and standards
- Knowledge of MemoQ
