Responsibilities
- Join Terra Localizations’ freelance talent pool as a video game subtitler
- Provide subtitling services for a potential video game localization project in 2027
- Apply audiovisual localization expertise to video game content
- Potentially provide TEP, MTPE, LQA testing, or audio QA for subtitles (ASREC)
- Await review and contact from Terra when a suitable opportunity becomes available
Requirements
- Native proficiency in one of the listed target languages: Arabic, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Russian, European Spanish, Latin American Spanish, Thai, Turkish, or Vietnamese
- Excellent command of the source language
- Proven experience in video game subtitling and audiovisual localization
- Understanding of tactical FPS games, gaming terminology, and culture
- Strong knowledge of subtitling guidelines, including timing, characters per second (CPS), line breaks, and formatting
- Experience with video game localization workflows and professional subtitling tools
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality linguistic output
- Ability to follow project instructions and meet agreed deadlines
