About the role

Nurse Consultant advising on life and health insurance claims and disability management at Desjardins. Reviewing medical plans, coordinating diagnoses, and negotiating return-to-work terms.

Responsibilities

Diagnose issues, challenges and needs to determine target outcomes
Develop and help implement objectives, solutions and action plans
Recommend changes to disability management strategies and processes
Review files to verify medical and rehabilitation action plans
Recommend measures to help insureds recover and return to work
Coordinate obtaining diagnoses and medical opinions to verify treatment plans
Analyze data, conduct studies, make recommendations and write reports
Handle cases requiring specialized intervention and develop strategies
Negotiate return-to-work terms with clients and practitioners, including attending physicians
Advise and assist clients and partners on intervention and development initiatives
Prepare recommendations, solutions and action plans based on organizational objectives and priorities
Coordinate and interact with stakeholders working in other fields

Bachelor's degree in a related field
A minimum of four years of relevant experience

Strong communication skills in both French and English, both oral and written due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with english-speaking partners, members and/or clients
