Provide administrative assistance in the customs brokerage department for DSV. Responsibilities include shipment tracking, invoicing, and maintaining compliance with customs regulations.
Responsibilities
Primary duty is provide administrative assistance in the customs brokerage department.
Track and trace incoming shipments and manage incoming calls from carriers and clients
Process courier Low Value Shipments (LVS), as needed
Customs receivable invoicing, on CW1, when applicable
Managing Electronic Work Queues
Monitoring group mailboxes
Arranging for payments of invoices to steamship lines, warehouses, government agencies, when applicable
Report generation for clients, as and when required
E-manifest, house bill filing, replying to inquiries and ensuring compliance with filings, when applicable
Adhere to all Standard operating Procedures and Policies set in place by the department and organization
Provide input and be an active participant at weekly team briefings
Supports organizational commitment to ISO 9001, ISO 45001 certification – Montreal location
Perform assigned tasks to support DSV meets its objectives and targets regarding quality, health, safety, and environment and follow all requirements as set out in the DSV Quality Health Safety Environment policy.
Requirements
High School Education, required
1 year of freight forwarding or customs experience, an asset
Good command, both verbal and written, English skills.
