About the role

  • Accounts Payable Team Lead overseeing invoice processing, talent payments, vendors, and AP controls. Supporting Dulcedo, Canada’s multidisciplinary talent management agency, with hands-on team leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day supervision, guidance, and support to the AP team
  • Help employees develop technical skills and autonomy
  • Organize and prioritize daily workloads
  • Review AP transactions and processes for accuracy, completeness, coding, and compliance
  • Oversee payments for talent, agents, vendors, suppliers, freelancers, and other business partners
  • Escalate and resolve complex invoices, payment discrepancies, vendor inquiries, and coding issues
  • Ensure AP procedures are followed and identify efficiency, accuracy, and control improvements
  • Optimize and automate AP workflows, including improvements to NetSuite and other financial systems
  • Identify recurring issues, operational risks, and process gaps; propose solutions
  • Collaborate with Finance, Talent Management, Agents, Operations, and other internal teams
  • Remain hands-on in day-to-day AP activities and provide operational support when needed

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in accounts payable, accounting, or financial operations
  • Previous experience leading, supervising, or mentoring an AP or accounting team
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, invoice processing, payment cycles, vendor management, and account reconciliations
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong attention to detail and high accuracy
  • Experience working with an ERP system; NetSuite experience is a strong asset
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex or sensitive financial matters
  • Hands-on approach and willingness to remain involved in day-to-day operations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in a talent agency, entertainment, media, advertising, creative, or similar industry is an asset
  • Bilingual in English and French
