About the role
- Senior Trade and Policy Advisor analyzing international trade agreements for egg farming sector. Responsible for advocacy, technical analysis, and relationship building within trade policy frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Track and monitor national and international trade environments, trends and shifting dynamics
- Provide technical analysis on the impact of trade negotiations
- Identify opportunities and make recommendations on EFC's trade policy
- Undertake advocacy efforts to represent the interests of Canadian egg farmers
- Draft and present reports, briefing packages, backgrounders, documents, presentations and other communications material
- Participate in consultations, working groups and committees
- Develop relationships with senior officials, bureaucrats and stakeholders
- Act as a subject matter expert for EFC
Requirements
- 7-8 years of experience in a progressive and relevant position
- An undergraduate degree with a concentration in international business, trade policy, economics or business. A master’s degree is an asset.
- Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset
