About the role
- OpenStack Developer / Architect needed to design and maintain OpenStack solutions at ELITS Canada. Join a team focused on cloud innovation and project ownership.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain features in core OpenStack projects (Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Glance, Trove, Ironic, Freezer, Keystone, Magnum, Heat, Octavia)
- Support architectural and platform decisions, ensuring alignment with our Cloud strategy
- Participate in code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, testing and deployments
- Collaborate with engineering teams and Platform Ops to ensure stable, production-ready OpenStack services
- Contribute to upstream OpenStack projects by submitting fixes, improvements and documentation
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in Python development (3+ years preferred)
- Strong understanding of Linux systems and cloud infrastructure
- Proven experience in deploying, operating or developing OpenStack
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools, automation tools (Ansible, Terraform) and containerization (Kubernetes)
- Willingness to contribute upstream and actively collaborate with the OpenStack community
- Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written).
