Responsibilities
Implement and update the Indigenous Benefit Plan
Keep the site team up to date on community cultural events
Conduct cultural awareness training during orientation
Populate and keep current the FFCP website
Act as the cultural liaison for Indigenous workers on-site
Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities, organizations, and businesses
Collaborate with project teams to integrate socio-economic considerations
Develop and implement training programs and resources
Identify and engage with Indigenous businesses and suppliers
Manage Pehta to measure the impact of socio-economic initiatives
Develop and maintain relationships with government agencies and stakeholders
Ensure compliance with policies and regulations
Provide regular reports and updates on socio-economic performance
Act as a liaison between the project and local communities
Develop initiatives that promote sustainability and environmental responsibility
Requirements
Knowledge of Indigenous cultures, traditions, and values
Familiarity with relevant policies, regulations, and standards related to socio-economic development and local hiring
Experience in identifying and engaging with Indigenous businesses and suppliers
Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders
Must have, or be eligible for, CSID (PWSGC) Secret Level Security Clearance
