Advisor Environment responsible for environmental planning and compliance for Canadian projects. Collaborating with agencies and managing multiple projects while ensuring adherence to regulations and budgets.
Responsibilities
Lead the environmental planning process, including the development of environmental assessment reports, facilitation of public information sessions, acquisition of permits, and preparation of cost estimates.
Collaborate with federal, provincial, and local agencies to obtain necessary approvals and ensure environmental compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental permits and conditions during construction and oversee post-construction compliance requirements.
Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and external groups, including government agencies, Indigenous communities, and landowners.
Manage the environmental components of multiple projects concurrently, including oversight of consultants and adherence to project schedules and budgets.
Requirements
Degree or diploma in an environmental, engineering or related field.
At least 4 years of related environmental experience, in pipeline, industry, or upstream oil and gas sectors.
Without a degree, you will require 3 more years of experience.
Projects experience is an asset.
Ability to comprehend diverse regulatory, scientific and technical issues.
Familiarity with the best management practices for environmental protection.
Excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to work independently.
Strong interpersonal skills focused internally and externally on a wide variety of people including employees, management, regulatory agencies, and the public.
