About the role

  • Pipeline Integrity Planning Engineer at Enbridge protecting the safety of Liquids Pipeline system. Transforming inspection data into engineering insights and collaborating with integrity professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Inline Inspection programs (ILI), including selection of appropriate ILI tool technologies, determination of reinspection intervals, and forecasting of integrity digs.
  • Conduct integrity assessments such as fit for service evaluations, crack fatigue analysis, corrosion growth rate calculations, and threat interaction assessments.
  • Evaluate ILI tool performance and investigate data discrepancies by comparing Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) results from integrity digs against ILI data.
  • Support operational change assessments and incident investigations through engineering analysis and technical recommendations.
  • Prepare technical reports, documentation, and recommendations to support pipeline integrity decision making.
  • Collaborate with internal and external Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on industry papers, technical studies, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Completion of a degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • Registered member with APEGA as P. Eng. in the Province of Alberta.
  • A minimum of four years of dynamically responsible experience in engineering.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with excellent presentation and technical writing skills.
  • Understanding of pipeline strength evaluation methods is preferred.
