About the role
- Senior Advanced Design Engineer leading design development for innovative regional aircraft at EVIO Aircraft. Collaborating in a fast-paced team environment focused on aviation sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of aircraft concepts and preliminary designs, including structural architectures, interfaces, surfaces, and systems integration
- Participate in and facilitate design reviews, and contribute to continuous improvement of processes and methodologies
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure feasibility, manufacturability, and regulatory compliance
- Establish best practices, workflows, and modeling standards for structures and systems teams
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate project progress
- Plan tasks and report progress to management using project management tools
- Contribute to a culture of innovation, technical rigor, accountability, and collaboration within a high-performing team
Requirements
- 10–15+ years of experience in aerospace (OEM or equivalent environment)
- Strong foundation in aircraft design: aerodynamics, propulsion, materials, and certification (Part 23/25)
- Proficiency in CAD software (CATIA V5, 3DEXPERIENCE, NX)
- Experience with simulation tools (ANSYS, MATLAB, NASTRAN)
- Expertise in metallic and composite materials and their manufacturing processes
- Excellent advanced surface modeling skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking
- Ability to work effectively in teams and communicate clearly
- Rigorous, detail-oriented, and focused on delivering high-quality results
- Knowledge of standards and regulations (FAA, TCCA, EASA)
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to high-performing engineering teams
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to deliver under ambitious deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
