About the role
- Back-End Developer enhancing Java/Kotlin applications for Equisoft, a global digital solutions provider for financial institutions. Collaborating with teams to design, develop, and deploy innovative client solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement new functionalities and build upon the application architecture.
- Review colleagues’ code to provide input and expertise.
- Participate actively in various agile meetings (the daily, retrospective, etc.) of your team.
- Participate in the analysis of functionalities regarding business needs and technological solutions.
- Participate in the continuous deployment of applications by applying the DevOps methodology.
- Contribute and participate in functional testing and documentation of existing and future applications.
- Ensure quality control by establishing and conducting test scenarios to validate that the systems and programs developed meet the specifications.
- Participate in maintenance activities of the applications and functionalities of the product.
- Collaborate with different teams to solve customer issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or Information Technology or College Diploma combined with 3 years of relevant experience
- 5-7 years of experience as an application developer
- Excellent knowledge and experience with Back-End language like Java with the ability to learn Kotlin
- Excellent knowledge of microservices architecture
- Knowledge of GraphQL and REST APIs
- Good knowledge of Object-Oriented Development and SOLID principles
- Good knowledge of unit tests and Test-Driven Development
- Knowledge of Agile and Kanban methodologies
- Knowledge in DevOps Azure Pipeline
- Experience in solving complex software engineering problems
- Excellent knowledge of French & English (spoken and written).
