About the role

  • Ingénieur(e) électrique pour des projets internationaux accompagnant des mandats en énergies renouvelables et déplacements fréquents. Vous jouerez un rôle clé en gestion de projets techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Under the supervision of the Director, Energy – International, you will play a key role in delivering international energy projects, including assignments that require travel to multiple countries, primarily in developing contexts or emerging infrastructure environments.
  • You will work on technical aspects, coordination of teams and local partners, and management of international projects in renewable energy, battery energy storage systems (BESS), grid integration, and photovoltaic power generation. You will also actively contribute to international business development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, ideally in engineering consulting.
  • Demonstrated experience in:
  • - design of photovoltaic systems,
  • - design and modeling of BESS,
  • - power system studies (load flow, short-circuit, harmonics, stability),
  • - international renewable energy projects (solar, wind, hydroelectric, microgrids).
  • Proficiency with specialized software such as PVSyst, HOMER Pro, CYME, PSSE / PSS®E, ETAP, AutoCAD, DIgSILENT PowerFactory (an asset).
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or eligible.
  • Excellent analytical skills, ability to solve complex problems and manage technical risks.
  • Bilingual in French and English required. You will regularly be expected to interact in English with internal and external partners in Canada, the United States and internationally. Knowledge of an additional language is an asset.
  • Availability for occasional international travel of 1 to 2 weeks, approximately 3 to 4 times per year, depending on project needs.
